Tailslide at PKOH... 2nd podium placing with tailslide to bigspin... Paling gempaq so far untuk street contest tahun nie, Didi punya skating memang meletup dengan tricks yang catch-control dan skating determination yang tinggi. My favourite skater for 2008, untuk local plak, Joey - The Killer. This year, 2009, aku rasa both skaters akan jadi icon street contest... Keep up the good skating guys. More for 2009...
Miniramp and tranny flow skating, The Rahman's brother, Muhammad Farris layak dapat Best of 2008. Semalam di Bukit Jalil, memang aku kagum dengan dia punya skating. In 2 years time, aku rasa dia maybe boleh keluar dalam TWS, The Skateboard Mag, Slap or Thrasher. Masih banyak masa untuk Farris dalam skateboarding. Good luck for 2009.

BS smith both rails. Sepanjang PEGC aku rasa Joey yang best. No hesitate, No give up... Bikin banyak tricks walaupun tak menang tapi aku rasa Joey patut dapat sponsors yang bagus untuk dia lebih banyak travel to join skate contest. Next time kat handrail contest, aku rasa kita dapat tengok Bs noseblunt from him. Few tries kat contest nie tapi tak land. Juga dia bikin Bs Nosegrind kat Wilshire tu dan few other tricks. Skaters lain yang menonjol aku rasa Kecik Ampang dengan Salad dan Kickflip to 50-50 yang sayang sekali tak land. Nazrilian pun gempaq ngan SS FS boarslide, gempaq nie beb. Kieron pun bagus, skate like 20's. Anyway, Joey is going to conquer the scene soon. The rest, just be a mag hero... Okgo.

Terima kasih kepada Majlis Tindakan Pelancongan Putrajaya, servis shuttle bus percuma sebanyak 2 buah telah disediakan kepada semua yang berminat untuk ke event ini, tapi cuma 70 orang penumpang sahaja yang akan dibawa berdasarkan 1st come, 1st serve.

Bus akan bertolak dari Kompleks Sukan Bukit Kiara (aka skatepark Mont Kiara) pada hari Sabtu 20.12.2008 jam 7.30 pagi dan kembali dari Putrajaya ke Bukit Kiara pada jam 6.30pm. Begitu juga pada hari Ahad, sama jadualnya.

Well, my good skate friend from Klang, Eddie dah kawin dengan Nabila Huda, anak Amy Search setelah sekian lama bercengkarama pada 14.12.2008 Aku ucapkan tahniah dan semoga berkekalan ke anak cucu. Buat pengetahuan semua, Eddie adalah di antara pioneer Dataran Klang since day 1 bersama-sama aku, Karat, Amy Klang, wan Melawis, Dino, Ijol dan lain-lain lagi. Aku time tu merempat kat rumah Wan Melawis dan everyday we all skate skate kat DTK sampai pagi. Then, sampailah satu ketika DTK kena ban dengan MPK dan Polis sebab kes letupan kat situ yang menyebabkan skateboarders yang dok skate kat situ dipersalahkan. Eddie di antara member skate aku yang ditahan dan disoal siasat. Aku pulak terpaksa melarikan diri kerana telah dilabel sebagai "Mastermind". Anyway, itu cerita lama yang buat aku tergelak sorang2 bila teringat pasal kes nie yang dah setel. Bukan bom pun yang meletup tapi kabel TNB bawah tanah. Eddie and Nabila, tahniah lagi sekali. Eddie, mintak kat bapak mertua hang piring hitam Search 5 keping. Aku beli sekeping mahal wei, RM220. Buat collection... Enjoy

Memang gempaq... Lert Saeri dari Thailand is the VKOG 2008 with hardflip. Congratulation. Memang pure street skater. Mamat nie bikin hardflip land almost 5ft extra dari end of the gap. Memang terbaik. Few skater juga kagum aku tengok... Bs. flip, Feroz di prelims memang winning trick. Didi and Nazeer, 360 flip pun terbaik tapi sayang skecthy landing. Full cab by Thong ngan double flip by Anjat juga kasi goyang itu gap. I put my bet on Jakarin with Nollie bigspin but sadly he just almost land it. Anyway, ini tahun VKOG, outsider semua conqouer. Tahun depan maybe aku boleh tengok Switch 360 flip kot. Tu pun kalu Vans mau bikin ini VKOG lagi la. Anyway, memang happening... aku rasa the best skate event so far for 2008. Hail to the King. Thanks to all who gave their best efforts to make this event successful. The result :

Putrajaya Extreme Games Challenge 2008

Satu lagi extreme games contest yang gempaq yang menawarkan hadiah yang lumayan. Majlis Tindakan Pelancongan Putrajaya (PTAC) akan menganjurkan pertandingan seperti yang hangpa boleh lihat di flier atas. Setelah kita selalu sangat diboringkan dengan skatepark contest, maka contest ini lebih unik dan mencabar. Acara utama untuk contest nie adalah Handrail Best Trick contest untuk Skateboarding, Inline dan BMX stunt. Ada juga contest untuk miniramp bagi Skateboarding dan jugak BMX. Malahan, ada jugak Shuffle dance contest untuk mereka yang suka menyufflekan diri. Dan banyak lagi side events yang lain. Untuk pengetahuan semua, Dataran Putrajaya adalah terletak di hadapan Palace Of Justice. The very famous skatespot kat Putrajaya. My son, Faheem...

Alhamdulillah, setelah berada di dalam kandungan ibunya, Juita... Muhammed Faheem telah selamat dilahirkan pada hari Khamis (20.11.2008) yang lalu pada pukul 1.40 pagi di Hospital Pusrawi, KL. Memang aku insaf la tengok macamana isteri aku menahan sakit semasa melahirkan Faheem. So, kepada semua skaters atau member2 yang lain tu yang selalu kecoh-kecoh ngan mak hangpa, cepat2 la minta maaf. Aku dah minta ampun dah... Goyang beb tengok isteri aku time tu. Semoga Faheem akan sentiasa mendapat Keredhaan Allah S.W.T. dan menjadi insan yang soleh. Kepada isteri, semoga cepat sembuh... Amin.

Last week, me, edd, PTAC officials and Ayap went to Putrajaya for a PTAC photoshoot. My photos were taken by Mr. Junus Suhid, GM of PTAC and for me its awesome. I also shot a sequences with Ayap and it went well too. We were stopped by the Putrajaya council officials while we were shooting at the Palace of Justice. DIY Downhill with Nazer

When i was in Kuantan to attend the JBS Pahang event, i met with my long lost friend, Nazer aka Abg. Long. We used to skate together last time and now he used to surf and downhill a lot. So, i asked him to take me to his downhill spot so i can have a session with him. On Saturday nite, while Mariss and rest of crew go party at Cherating with Ayie, me, Nazer and Penghulu Mie go to Kompleks Tun Razak to have a session. Nazer show me his DIY downhill board and i was impressed. It was made by a solid 1 inch wood and handcrafted by himself. Check out the photo. the session was fun. I climb the hill 3 times and downhill using Nazer's board once. He just changed the bushing and it was hard. So, the board always crooked to the left. I'm a regular footed so its hard for me to control the board. So, i skate and downhill his board backward and manage to downhill until the end of the road. Next time we going to conquer the Bay Route.

Kuantan wallride session

I was in Kuantan last week to attend the JBS Pahang event at their skatepark. Skatepark is very typical nowdays and i wish to skate new spot sometimes. This is my 1st time skating at Kuantan's skatepark and i love the wallride wall. Done a few tricks on it and its satisfied me. the wall also gave me a few scar for a souvenirs. Thanks wall. I will be there to do a demo for the press and i will "Rodney Mullen" myself. I will skate on a very tight area of 16' x 16' plywood surface and do only flat ground tricks. I wish Koya will be there so i can battle with him on S.K.A.T.E and claim my crown. You're going down this time Koya.

If you wish to join the VKOG, then i advice you to register online earlier. The organizer do not accept any registration after the deadline. However you can also get the registration form at locals skateshop such as Push, Cool Element, Zone 5, Miz 29 and also skateshop in other states too and submit the form to them. But i suggest skaters from other states and countries to register online to make things easy. Anyway, do email to weiteing@rsh.com.my if there any questions you wish to ask. Taiping Open Skate Contest 2008

Terror Guy 1, me and Koya. I gave Koya RM50 of my total earning (RM500) because he killed me in S.K.A.T.E. after the final and this kid is only 9 years old.
I was there to join the contest. There is 3 different contests, Park, Best trick and Game of S.K.A.T.E and i joined all of it. This contest is organized by Golok of Goofy and the judging is provided by Mariss of The Scoreboarding. Fuad won the park with Adam, 2nd and me on the 3rd place. They skate a consistent run and deserve the cash. On Best Trick session, nobody can argue the winner. The contestant have to skate the funbox and Adam pulled off switch 270 to fs boardslide on the flat bar and added more money in his pocket. Adam earned RM800 overall. This is the funny part. Game Of S.K.A.T.E. I was in group 1 and my 1st victim is Adha aka Black. I killed him with Ollie katak and i was labelled The Bully. Sorry black, you eat too many ice cream. My 2nd victims is TK. In Semis, i forgot this guy name, so i called him Terror Guy 2. i was lucky because before he meet me, he meet Terror Guy 1 (i also forgot this guy name, somebody please tell me both of this guys name) and he was challenged so hard by Terror Guy 1 before winning the game but ended up tired, i guess. So, Terror Guy 2 lost to me and i went to the final. I met Joey of Gombak and he gave me S.K. with kickflip and inward heelflip. But later i killed him with my signature and i won the Game of S.K.A.T.E. But the hightlight of the S.K.A.T.E was between Terror Guy 1 and Terror Guy 2. Lots of technical tricks but both can do respectively. Damn, both of this guys is so good with S.K.A.T.E and you don't want to meet them in contest. They killed you in seconds. But finally Terror Guy 2 was killed with switch pressure flip but this is the best S.K.A.T.E i ever watched. Hands down...

My Super, fully restored...

Since I got my Super from Madir of SOG, i never get a chance to ride it because of the engine problem and busy with my travelling schedule. After got back from Bali last weekend, i got some free time to assemble my Super and few stuffs that i bought before. So, yesterday i got a chance to ride it after the engine have been fixed by Uncle Chai workshop (Jalan Loke Yew). I'd cruise around KL and lepak at Pavillion. Everythin is going well and i'm planning to skate with the Super next week and shoot some skating. Waiting for the Veglia Speedo from my friend at Klang and then i'm going to find the original "Balung Ayam" on the mudguard. Okgo... Check more photos of it HERE

Actually this is my hometown and it's been a while since i have a session here. The event was held at Pantai Robina, Telok Air Tawar and on Sunday there will be a miniramp contest here. Yesterday i went to Putrajaya Challenge Park (PCP) to test the skatepark and check the construction progress. Almost 65% of the park is already done and you can skate the street part on the left side of the park. When i look at the park from top of it then i realised, it's looks like the Shah Alam but with more mellow and big bank. It's pretty hard to imagine when you look on the blueprint but in real life, for me, the park is just an ordinary typical skatepark. I might be wrong because the park is not finish construct yet but so far its fun for Arina and his fellow buddies. Anyway, i have fun yesterday skating with Mariss, Am BMX and Ed. Mariss tweaked his ankle on the tranny i'd stalefish (above) and back home crooked. I forgot, he insisted, this photo is captured by Mariss. Check out more photos HERE

Me, Irul, Eugene of Oakley Malaysia and his friend will be going to Bali this coming October. I met him and his boss, Candy from Hong Kong at Oakley Malaysia headquarter and they hooked me up with new sunglasses and stuffs. Then i saw this new limited edition frame of Flak Jacket on his table and some of the colors will not be realease on market. I was so exited when Eugene tell me he can customize the color to fit my desire. So, i'm thinking, i love reggae music and rock kapak and we will be heading Bali soon. My trip to Bali like usual, i'll be listening to Bob Marley to Jack Johnson to Search to Lefthanded then why not customize this frame to reggae well known colors. You will not find this colors on any dealers in Malaysia and the best part is, it comes with Ice Iridium Polarized Lens... Damn, i'm so kiasu. Okgo...

I ordered a white canvas for about a year and hang it on my wall at my place since then. I'm planning to get dirty with the canvas later but i'm too lazy to even think about it. Few months ago my long lost friend, Achai of Labuan, added my flickr into his contact list. So, i started check out his flickr album and i saw his brother, Donald artwork. I was so impress. Both of them is a pretty good skateboarder also. I always wanted a local skateboarder's art on my wall but i can't find one. There's many oversea and it's pricey too. But i want a Malaysian's skateboarder art and finally i found my favourite Malaysian skateboard artist, Donald Labuan of Yak-Yak Design. My Super, finally arrived...

Eventhough MU lost to Liverpool last week my mechanic, Mr. Madir of SOG doesn't mind to finish my Super restoration. Last nite, he travel from Malacca to my place in KL just to deliver his masterpiece. I'm so impress with the restoration and trust me it is worth every cents i invest. Thanks to SOG's crew. I manage to collect and assemble most of its original parts except for speedometer, exhaust, headlight rims, grips and few other engine parts. I already have the original seats and i'm going to put it once i have done restoring the saddle. Thanks to Bali for selling me the seats. Check more of this Super HERE

Vans KOG - The Gap

This is the gap. In the contest you skate the double set not the Hubba ledges. The hubba is only for practice and demo. Tricks on hubba will not be judge. Only the double set. The double set is 5 ft high, 8 ft length and 12 ft wide. So start skating some gaps and be the KOG.

Vans - King of Gap

I got called from Vans distributor in Malaysia to organize the a skate event and i came out with this idea. With lots of contest being organize in Malaysia, just some of it got my attention such as Push ledge contest and some manual pad challenge. Other than that its just an ordinary contest on skatepark, S.K.A.T.E fever and old obstacles at new places contest. Anyway, back to Vans KOG, this contest is going to be organized on early Dec 2008 and the prize money is enough for you make a motorbike downpayment.RM2500 if i'm not mistaken for the 1st place and also ribuan for the 2nd place. This is an Open contest but Junior (below 16) category can compete in the High Ollie Contest. I will post the obstacle later so you can prepare what tricks you planning to throw down the gap. After that then we'll know who is the King of KOG.

My latest project - Super

I got this Super from a skate friend in Klang. I trade the Super with some skate stuffs and start the restoration process. When i got the Super the condition is so bad with lot of parts missing and the engine is totally jammed. I send the Super to Wak Leh workshop for engine restoration and then courier the Super by train to Madir at Malacca for complete restoration. After 6 months waiting finally the Super is 95% restored. I'm going to Malacca this coming Saturday to pick up the Super with my vespa friends, Yaser and Ujay. Check out more of the Super HERE

Putrajaya Challenge Park (PCP)

Its been 6 years since the PCP started. I've been appointed as the skatepark consultant for this project since day one and finally this park is on its way and been constructed since July 2008 by the Alltec guy. Beside skatepark this PCP have the wall climbing indoor area, Mountain bike trails and BMX dirt jump area. The so called administration building which was designed by the ZLG architect firm is so nice to be place at the skatepark but the best part is the building is so skateable. Imagine that. You go to the skatepark but skate the building. Nice ahh... Anyway, last week, with Maris and Edd, we go there to check out the park and test the area that have been finished constructed. NXC 2008/2009

NXC aka National Extreme Sports Circuit 2008-2009 is on its way again. This is the 3rd time NXC is going to be organize by the Extreme Sports Association of Malaysia since the last one in 2003. This time NXC is going big and include all 14 states and the last one will be at Putrajaya Challenge Park which ESAM will crown the overall champion. This event is already approved by the KBS and final discussion will be held later next week with all the parties involved. The skatepark also will be pure street skate plaza style and less tranny. The NXC's website is still under contruction until all the details confirm but you can bookmark it at www.nxcmalaysia.com. So, ready to pack your bag and start travelling again. Bintulu Skate Plaza - More problem...

I got called from the contractor on site that they are going to put the angle coping on the ledge and they asked me to determine which ledge should they install the coping. But this is what i got from the email. Instead of telling them which ledges, i discovered this problem. All coping supplied for the corner ledge was not using the machine pre-rolled technique. This will make the coping have kinks (chect out Red Arrow) and effect the smoothness of skating. So, i asked them to replace the coping with the pre-rolled coping and now they starting to hate me. They really hate me now after the handrail and turfing issue.

Bintulu Skate Plaza - Handrail problem...

It came out wrong. Photo 1 is suppose to be the handrail that i put at the double set area but it came out like photo 2. The detail drawing that i submitted to my client is suppose to be the Wilshire Handrail lookalike (photo 1). You can check it out at the isometric view that i put in this blog below. Item no. 3. So, i submitted a request to my client to change the handrail exactly like i'm proposing and they asked the contractor to look at it and repair it. Vespalac - Latest Progress

It's been a while since my vespalac been refurbished by my friends at Kerteh, Terengganu. I got email from my builder and this is what came out. Red with white combination. But i'm planning to put more white on the body to contra with the red color. Hopefully the Vespalac will be ready for the PSK 08 coz' i'm going to gamble her in the contest. My Custom Chopper

This is my custom made chopper that i ordered from Bang Muchai of Southern Big Bike of Hatyai, Thailand... I'm using Honda Bros 400 engine. No money to buy a American engine yet but i will. I will post the complete bike when i'm going to pick up the bike soon... What's wrong with me? already owned 2 Vespa, this bike and 1 motor cub that i used everyday and now i'm thinking of getting a Lambretta. My friend's Anot asked me to build a bobber but i'm running out of money now but i think i might check out Harley Malaysia for a new Nightster or Sportster... Yahoo... My Vespalac

This is my latest project of my Vespa. I called it Vespalac, the combination of vespa + cadillac. I extend the body to match the Lambretta side panel and modified the fender and side box. I got the ACMA handle in Vietnam. The concept idea came out when i was talking to my long lost friends Ayen and Apit of Kerteh. They owned a "chop-chop" shop that build costumize bike with Ayen handle all the bike works while his brother Apit do the paint job. The body is VBA (kana) and the engine is Sprint V. This job is already took 10 months and probably i can start ride this Vespalac to go skate by end of this month. Also i'm going to register this baby at the PSK contest. Bintulu Skate Plaza

This is the very first skate plaza in Malaysia located at Bintulu, Sarawak. I was approached by a company that got the job from the National Lanscape Department. Actually this project is not totally a skate plaza but a public park that have all the facilities like jogging track, playground, stalls and many more and skate plaza is also a part of it. This skate plaza was designed by me at Climax Skatepark Ent. and will finish construct by end of September 2008. Now, the plaza is almost done and probably i will fly there on mid Oct 2008 to skate the plaza and handover it to the client. This skate plaza is also endorsed by Extreme Sports Association of Malaysia (ESAM). You can check more photos of the construction HERE
